Abstract: (1 Views) |
The Iranian biopharmaceutical industry is currently experiencing a paradoxical situation. On one hand, it has emerged as a leading technological sector in the country, achieving notable successes such as partial self-sufficiency, the production of biosimilar drugs, and exports to regional markets. On the other hand, the industry faces deep structural challenges in policy-making, financing, regulatory frameworks, and innovation. This article examines the dual perspective of “achievements” versus “policy challenges” and, while providing an analysis of the current status, emphasizes the need to complete and strengthen the innovation ecosystem as a key strategic priority. Sustainable solutions lie not in a multitude of fragmented actions but in the establishment of a coherent, resilient, and efficient policy framework.
