Background and Aim: seafarers face numerous health and safety challenges due to their specific working and living conditions at sea. Health literacy as the ability to understand and use health information plays a vital role in improving the quality of life and reducing the health risks of this group. The study examined the importance of health literacy and its promotion strategies in seafarers. Methods: the present study is a A Scoping Review Study obtained by searching in authoritative scientific databases such as searching Persian and English texts in the databases of Science Direct, Scopus ,ISI, Pub Med, Google Scholar, SID, MagIran using the keywords health literacy, seafarers, the latest information solution. Results: inadequate health literacy in seafarers can lead to an increase in diseases and infections, an inability to manage emergencies, decreased quality of life, and increased medical costs. Finally, these problems can lead to an increased risk of marine accidents and safety defects, which have widespread negative impacts on the individual health and overall safety of maritime operations. And reduce the efficiency and productivity of seafarers. Various strategies include: conducting training courses and practical workshops on health and wellness, disease prevention, and emergency management, using various media for health literacy education, empowering seafarers to search for and evaluate health information, and active participation of seafarers in health literacy promotion programs can promote seafarers ' health literacy. Conclusion: promoting health literacy in seafarers not only helps improve the quality of life and reduce diseases but also increases the safety and efficiency of marine operations. By creating educational programs and a culture of health, it is possible to help improve the working and living conditions of these people.
